Hi there - We're PureSnacks!
We began making PureSnacks treats for dogs and cats back in 2007 when we grew frustrated with the treat options on store shelves. Additives like dicalcium phosphate, lecithin, choline chloride, calcium carbonate, thiamine mononitrate, and the other unpronounceable ingredients we were giving our furry loved ones just didn't sit right with us. We wouldn't prepare dinner for ourselves with those ingredients, so why give them to the other members of our family.
So we decided to do things differently. We asked "what ingredients do you actually need in dog and cat treats?" turns out - it's just one. Raw meat (or fish) is the one thing that dogs and cats both crave and its the only thing you'll find in our treats. And not just any meat, but high-quality meat and fish that's of the same quality and cut that you'd find at your local grocery store.
That's what we do. We simply ask ourselves "how can we make this with less ingredients, using the best possible ingredients?"
